Yes, it has already snowed here in Indiana. I am not ready for winter. But it is always a good time for winter decor! I got this enamel drip pan for free. It was covered in grease and dirt. I didn't take a picture of the grease, but here it is once I cleaned it.
This is a black pan with white flecks so it made sense to add a "Let it Snow" graphic. I browsed Pinterest to find a file compatible with my Silhouette Cameo 3. There was a minimal cost for the graphic. I found this file from Board and Batten Design. It was available in PNG, DXF, EPS and SVG with a limited commercial license. The file downloaded quickly and I was able to very easily load the DXF file to my Silhouette library. It is beautiful and it was very easy to weed.
I cut the design out of a sheet of glossy Oracal 651 vinyl. Rather than paint this one, I wanted to use the vinyl on the pan.
I weeded out the surrounding vinyl leaving just the vinyl decal.
Then I applied the vinyl to the pan. It turned out really well! It's a beautiful fall day here today so we will put this away for a while...
