My best friend's daughter wanted a vintage/rustic graduation party. They asked me for my help and I went right to work! She loves fresh flowers, particularly sunflowers so we found different ways to incorporate them.
This old wooden bucket served as a great "vase". The secret? An inexpensive vase tucked inside. I painted a couple of old photo frames, distressed them and added a piece of wood painted with chalkboard paint.
Mason jars made great vases as well.
We tied some twine around each one and attached a key, because the grad loves old keys!

The food fit the rustic theme as well. Chex mix in buckets on every table and pounds and pounds of pulled pork!

If you have pulled pork, you need barbecue sauce! We had six different kinds, so this Kreemo root beer carrier housed our selection.
Cups for our delicious lemonade were contained in this vintage shopping carrier.
This berry crate held all the utensils. All the wooden items had a clear coat of poly applied since there were around food. Notice the old key we added to the handle.
The popcorn bar was a hit. A bushel basket held our giant bag of popcorn.
Another berry box and berry baskets held a variety of toppings and seasonings.
I found four large frames (all the same size!) at a church garage sale. I had been on the lookout for two matching frames and scored four! I made two of these sandwich boards for directional signage.
A fun idea is to to have an "Oh the places you'll go" book by Dr. Seuss and have friends and family sign the book with their favorite places.
This old suitcase was the perfect place to hold the cards. Vintage stencils finished it nicely.
I found this Coca Cola cooler in Alabama on the 127 sale several years ago. I use it for parties often. It is always a hit!
