Creating a Vintage Office

I have been wanting to make some changes to my home office. I had accumulated the pieces, but I had a huge solid oak entertainment center taking up an entire wall. It was time for it to go. I sold it on a FB buy, sell, trade site. Once that was out of the way, it was time to get started!

First in was this Craftsman style desk. I acquired it when Manchester College was tearing down the administration building. They had an auction and this was one of the treasures I bought.

I found this world map puzzle at an auction. It was the perfect size!

And all the pieces were there. I think the puzzle is from the 1940s. The countries are listed by Allied Nations and Axis Powers. It says the populations of Countries at War.

New, I ordered a piece of glass from a local glass company to protect the puzzle and the desktop.

I found this piece on a vintage FaceBook site. The woman selling it said her grandfather made it. Why would you not want this if your grandfather made it???

The globe was from a FB buy, sell, trade site.

All my desk tchotchkes are from auctions or garage sales.

This is the finished product! Lots of storage and it sure beats that old entertainment center!
