I often find interesting frames. I came across this barn wood frame at a garage sale. Then it sat in my garage for a while. It was time for a makeover, well more of an adding to rather than making over.
There was nothing in the frame so I cut a piece of masonite and painted it with Waverly chalk paint in Cashew.
Then I applied Rustoleum matte topcoat.
I had seen Believe There Is Good In The World on Facebook with "Be the Good" highlighted. I created the saying in my Silhouette software and created a stencil.
I used two shades of green chalk paint to paint the words.
I distressed it with 100 grit sandpaper and then added some antiquing medium.
Then I simply tacked it in the frame.
This was a really simple project. It took less than an hour (without including drying time for the paint). I worked on other projects while the paint dried.
I think it is a good message with all the hate on social media lately. Not only is there good in the world. It starts with each of us. We need to Be the Good.
