Vintage Raccoon Field Report: Day Two

Current condition: Sunburned. Dusty. Unsupervised.
We've reached day two of the hunt, which means logic has completely left the building.
Today was fueled almost entirely by caffeine, adrenaline, and the dangerous phrase:
"How far down this road do you think this sale is?" How far is too far? No one knows. Sometimes you just have a feeling that this sale is going to be the sale, the one that no one else has found because it's so far off the beaten path. And sometimes that road takes to the most beautiful fields of sunflowers you have ever seen.
Just beautiful!
Suddenly it's lunch and you're standing in someone's driveway debating whether another crate is "too much." (It isn't.) Today's discoveries included things we absolutely needed the second we saw them. We cannot explain why. The Vintage Raccoon Spirit simply whispered, "Take it home." So we did. Check out our finds from today!
At this point, every time one of us yells, "I FOUND SOMETHING!" the other two come running like we've discovered buried treasure. Honestly...Sometimes it feels like we have. The best finds weren't always the expensive ones. Sometimes it was the $5 treasure with a story. Sometimes it was the conversation with a vendor who'd been saving that piece for decades. Sometimes it was laughing so hard we forgot why we pulled over in the first place.
By the end of the afternoon, the shopping may be winding down...but the stories are just getting started.
Tomorrow we will see what Michigan has to offer us...I have a feeling it's going to be good!
