Quick Garage Sale Flip

I love scouring garage sales for fab finds! I am always on the lookout for something I can use in my home, or to make a few $$$. Some items can be used or resold as is. Some need a minor bit of TLC to make them truly fabulous. I don't have a "before" of these stools. I found them at a garage sale for $10 (for the pair). They had a white canvas fabric on the seat which has seen better days. Some minor stains and light dirt. I knew I could transform them and make a few dollars. I didn't even bargain and handed over my ten bucks. I knew these could be a great garage sale flip!

I have mentioned before that I love the Waverly Cotton Duck fabric. I find it at Walmart for just $3.97 a yard. These two chairs took less than a half yard. The wood was in great shape so no painting was needed, just a quick cleaning. I think this fabric goes perfectly with this wood.

It took less than 20 minutes to recover these bar stools. This is the simplest type of upholstery project. Just unscrew the seat, remove the old fabric and staple on the new—super simple!

I listed these on our local buy, sell, trade site on Facebook for $40. They sold immediately. I made a profit of$28 on this easy peasy project!
